- Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance.
- Provide service desk functions and communicate effectively with users regarding the status of their requests and expected resolution times.
- Schedule and prioritize daily data processing jobs following the established procedures, perform production control activities, coordinate job inputs, outputs and distributions.
- Perform backups of systems, databases, files in all Unix, Linux and Windows servers in Data Centre, ensure all backup tasks complete and report any abnormal period end jobs.
- Ensure that all shift activities, unusual occurrences, and status events are properly logged, investigated, reported, and resolved; gather system statistics and compile regular reports for management review.
- Collaborate with technical terms to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Schedule and perform programs/services release according to the Release Management procedures; coordinate with IT Application team to conduct the testing; report any abnormalities occurred and perform fallback procedures where appropriate.
The Person
- High Diploma or equivalent in Computer Science / Information Technology or rated discipline.
- At least 2 years’ relevant working experience in hotline support and data centre operations.
- Shift duties is required.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing system is an advantage.
- Good knowledge in operating job scheduler (Control-M), Microsoft Office, computer hardware & software and wireless mobile device is an advantage.
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Able to work independently under pressure.
- Good team player and proactive.
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
