Recruiting a Vice President, Business Risk and Control Manager, Private Banking to provide front to back oversight for the bank and to help with any operational improvement process in a first-level of defence role.

Overview
This international private bank in Hong Kong accelerating its growth in the region and is currently seeking to hire a Vice President, Business Risk and Control Manager, Private Banking to provide front to back oversight for the bank and to help with any operational improvement process in a first-level of defence role.

Role Responsibilities

Reporting to the COO Private Banking, you will perform independent front to back oversight for risk taking activities, including review and assessment of the completeness and effectiveness of support function's controls
Coordinate to implement systems, processes for the private banking business.
Perform quality assurance reviews through thematic testing and ongoing post transaction review
You will plan, manage and drive system and user acceptance tests, monitor operation standards and provide sound and pragmatic risk advisory to business and support functions
Facilitate incident management ensuring measures identified is effective and sustainable
Tracking of open action plans resulting from Ops Risk events or audits are resolved and implemented
Work in parallel with Line Risk Control Management and Business Units.

Requirements

Has minimum 8 years of business risk and control management experience in Private Banking
Good knowledge of front to back process and internal controls within private bank set up
In depth understanding of Private Banking business models and processes end to end; complemented by good program / project management and system implementation skill sets.
Good inter-personal and communication skills with strong project management skills.
Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight timelines. Prior experience in risk/assurance function in private banking
Strong interpersonal, communication and technical / project management skills
