As HR Manager this role is responsible for leading the HR function ensuring alignment with the Organisations strategic objectives. This role forms part of the leadership team and is required to play an active role in Company strategy and success by ensuring talent within the business is developed and retained. This role is in place to drive change and continuous improvement in all areas of HR; focused on the employee experience and driving performance.
Role Responsibilities
- Oversee recruitment start to end for the day-to-day recruitment needs; this role will need to oversee and develop strategies to promote attraction & retention;
- Support the disciplinary process from time to time, HR Generalist will manage in the first instance, the HR Manager is there to support when needed and step in on complex or appeal scenarios;
- Continuously drive process improvement on all HR processes, policies and procedures;
- Oversee the payroll process, liaise with the external provider in the events of errors or changes to the process;
- Ensure HR provides KPIs to feed the business information on human resources, staffing and other areas of focus;
- Ensure compliance with central bank requirements from an employee standpoint, employment legislation, health & safety standards and other mandatory training requirements to ensure full compliance;
- Provide strong leadership to the Company by demonstrating solid HR knowledge, management capabilities, engagement with key stakeholders, change management techniques and exceptional communication skills;
- Be a strategic leader and participant in key initiatives such as budget, LAF, workforce planning, automation & digitalization and long term company focus and development;
- Coach & support people managers to help maximise their and their direct reports potentials. Enhance their knowledge & skills to continuously improve on their ability to lead and manage;
- Ensure the development of the HR teams knowledge & skills. Develop direct reports to be able to succeed for the future. Carry out regular 121s, team briefings, performance appraisals, support project management and learning & development needs.
- Carry out the duties of this role in accordance with the Anti-Corruption & Fraud Policy (to act honestly & with integrity) & to report any suspected incidents of fraud and/ or corruption.
- Lead the performance review process, and the action items which follow; salary reviews and bonus payments.
Person specifications
- Experience in all HR functional areas; minimum of 7 years’ experience as HR Generalist, business partner or above;
- Overall this person needs to be someone who drives continuous improvements, with an ambition to utilize technology wherever possible to reduce the risk of human error and to optimize the working capacity of the HR team;
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with all colleagues at all levels of the business;
- Needs to be customer focused; the business clients and customers, the managers and all staff;
- Be results drive, analytical and a critical thinker, ability to problem solve and get down into the data & have an aptitude for planning and organization;
- Be a positive person, able to engage others and embrace change every step of the way;
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of team, responds well to working under pressure.
