Media Licensing Administrator

IMRO administers the performing right in copyright music on behalf of its members (songwriters, composers and music publishers) and on behalf of members of the international overseas societies that are affiliated to it. Music users such as broadcasters, venues and businesses must pay for the use of copyright music by way of a various selection of license fees.
The Media Licensing Administrator will provide administrative support to the Media Licensing Team.
Job Context and Content
The Media Licensing Administrator will join the existing team within the Media Licensing department. The role will provide the successful candidate with experience across many of IMRO’s essential revenue and licensing functions.
The core focus of the role is to assist and provide support to IMRO’s licensing functions and international functions as requested or required.
The Media Licensing Administrator will work in conjunction with all other members of the Media Licensing team and report to the Director of Media Licensing and Public Affairs.
Responsibilities
Working within the Media Licensing department which incorporates International and mechanical royalties, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assist with and provide administrative support to the Media Licensing Team where required including managing contact with customer via phone, email and general correspondence;
- Assist in the administration and day-to-day operations of the Live Music function, including researching festivals and relevant events, establishing and maintaining regular contact with current and potential licensees and ensuring payment is facilitated in a swift manner;
- Assist with the efficient operations of the Mechanical Copyright Protection Society of Ireland (MCPSI) as needed;
- Regular contact with other IMRO teams to resolve customer issues and queries

Professional Development
The job holder will receive extensive training on IMRO’s systems and will be provided with a broad education on the licensing of copyright music and royalty collection. In addition, education and professional development will be offered through attendance at industry seminars, educational workshops and internal training as required.
Desired Knowledge and Experience
- The successful candidate will ideally have at least one year experience working in an administrative/customer service role.
- You will need the ability to manage varied operational tasks and resolve conflicting priorities.
- In addition, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Outlook and Excel are desirable.
- A good general knowledge of the Irish music industry would be of benefit alongside a relevant third level qualification.
