You will be responsible for leading a team, supporting the pricing function within AXA Ireland to achieve overall financial targets for all classes of business / channels / territories written by AXA Ireland.

- Support AXA Management and other departments as required to achieve overall financial result
- Ensure that AXA Ireland rating structure is based on robust technical models and regularly updated, also working collaboratively with relevant teams to ensure that it is optimized to reflect market dynamics and maximize GWP / profit.
- Ensuring suitable levels of pricing sophistication in relation to all material lines of business
- Establish medium term plans for account improvement & implementation of pricing developments in discussion with the Head of Pricing.
- Ensure that relevant Risk Pricing processes are robust and produced on a regular basis to ensure continued advancement of pricing sophistication
- Ensure that the pricing structure is optimal at all levels (P1-P5 layers where available).
- Share output of work with Pricing management to ensure that appropriate and timely action is taken to implement required changes.
- Ensure that Pricing tasks comply with Group Standards Handbook, PFPM, Group Pricing Blueprints as appropriate.
- Participate in cross-functional projects within AXA Ireland and between Pricing departments in other AXA entities.
- Maintain & implement Risk Pricing operational plan, while monitor emerging Pricing developments and develop action plan to implement where appropriate.
- Mentor, lead and develop the team.
- Ensure that AXA Ireland Pricing practices conform to Group best practice and best practice governance.
Your Profile
About You
- Ideally 3+ years of post-qualification experience in a pricing role (or equivalent for non-Actuary).
- Qualified as a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (or equivalent) or display the skills required which may be obtained through other study (e.g. Data Science).
- Demonstrated history of driving sophistication and technical excellence in general insurance pricing
- Strong business acumen in general insurance market
- Will participate in continued professional development to keep up to date with developments in general insurance, Irish market and advancements in data science
- Proven ability to lead/manage a team, i.e.. Planning, developing, coaching, performance management.
- Awareness of the overall compliance to Health & Safety, IT Security and all legislation/compliance in Actuarial function.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland and/or the United Kingdom.
