Staff Nurse- Tallaght

We are now seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join our team in Affidea - Tallaght Express Care
Responsibilities:
- To deliver excellent patient-focused care
- Responsible for the maintenance of a high standard of patient care which is achieved through professional education and development.
- Take responsibility on each shift for the nursing care of Affidea patients
- Maintaining appropriate and accurate written nursing records and reports.
- To ensure adequate levels of ward stocks/supplies are maintained.
- To ensure that the working environment is as safe and healthy as possible for patients/ staff.
- To work within the team and assist colleagues as necessary
- Ensure all Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards are implemented
- Attend onsite or offsite continuous professional development session
Qualifications:
- Degree in General nursing
- Registered in the General division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- 3 years + post-registration general nursing experience, ideally in an acute general hospital with exposure to Paediatric Emergency Nursing
- Clinical experience in Primary Care/ Emergency Medicine is preferred
- Analyse, report on, and effect change in nursing practice.
- Think and plan strategically.
- Ability to relate effectively and build productive relationships at all levels of a complex organisation.
- Ability to handle a diverse and challenging workload.
- Ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Must possess strong, communication skills and clinical skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Must be computer literate
- Flexibility and excellent use of initiative
- Negotiation and influence skills.
