Some of your key responsibilities:

• Responsible for all vessels within AML are maintained and operated in a safe and seaworthy condition in accordance with requirements/instruction issued by the client, Company’s Senior Management, Flag State administration and vessels classification societies.
• Responsible for the resources, operation and activities within AML.
• Overall responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all vessels, within agreed budgets.
• Ensuring the Group Head of Fleet Operations is fully informed of any significant deviations and delays of vessels.
• Responsible for planning the schedule for ship visits, inspections liaising for internal audits and reporting results and findings as appropriate to the Group Head of Fleet Operations.

Qualifications:

• Certificate of competency STCW II/2 (unlimited) or bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or Nautical science or sufficient experience in Technical Operations or Marine Operations role within Fleet operations.
• Experience from working as a Chief Engineer or Master
• Leadership experience of leading Chief Engineers and Masters
• Extensive knowledge in ISM and ISPS as well as operations, technical and safety of vessels.
• Financial knowledge of budgets and cost control.
• Good understanding of the key concepts of Health and Safety
• Knowledge of incident investigation and Root Cause Analysis
• Fluent in spoken and written English and French
• Spanish and Arabic is a plus
• If applicable, able to obtain permission to work in Morocco (VISA)
