This position is a temporary contract to cover maternity leave
Focus of the position
The Account Director will be fully responsible for managing and growing the existing client portfolio as well as developing skills and expertise of both internal and strategic client stakeholders.
The Account Director reports to the Client Services Director NE.
Account Director responsibilities
- Manage new potential Account Managers and ensure that they are onboarded properly
- Can functions as back up for questions and discusses client issues for the AM’s and decides on solutions in order to manage client expectations.
- Adhere and utilize effectively any company systems, policies, procedures.
- The Service & management of key clients from A to Z including reporting, quarterly meetings, weekly calls, invoicing.
- Translate clients business challenges and objectives into a clear solution vision and/or roadmap
- Project Management (from Account Management side) on consultancy projects to ensure proper allocation of resources, time management, execution on deliverables and staying within budgets, whilst ensuring client needs are met and exceeded.
- Be key account manager for a number of key client accounts and create and develop commercial opportunities with existing clients maximising account and revenue growth.
- Manages and influences strategic client contacts and aligns periodically on optimization, client satisfaction and upselling possibilities.
- Be the driving force in a client’s online marketing process, from start to finish. This includes meetings, training, preparing case studies and evaluations.
- Negotiate beneficial and competitive rate cards and contracts, ensure efficient allocation of resources is achieved across your client service funnel, that clients pay for value and work delivered.
- Support clients in delivering the most impactful and efficient digital media strategies and help them analyze the data, trends and performance.
Operational Excellence
- Monitors the progress of implementation processes and makes in close cooperation with the CSD suggestions for improvement in order to deliver the highest service levels whilst managing costs and client income.
- Oversees onboarding of client projects and sets project deliverables and priorities working with all stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, taking responsibility for budgets and monthly invoices for your portfolio of clients. Actively participating in sales, client and team meetings to ensure the execution is flawless.
The talent we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing or business related subjects.
- 5+ years of experience and a proven track record as an account manager.
- Preferably worked as a trader, account manager and/or campaign manager at a performance management organisation (at an advertiser or on the agency side).
- Strong account management skills; client oriented and highly motivated
- Excellent organizational, and problem-solving/decision-making skills.
- Can coach, develop people and manage.
- A strong level of English in writing and speaking is required, Dutch a + but not compulsory
- Curious and interested to know more about the latest developments in the digital industry.
