As Maersk Air Freight continues with its ambitious growth trajectory, we are now searching for an Air Freight Procurement Analytics and Compliance Specialist. Although this role is being advertised in the Netherlands, the successful candidate can be based anywhere in Europe.

Purpose of the role
As a key member of the Global Airfreight Procurement and Carrier Strategy team, this role is responsible for overseeing the deployment and execution of compliance-related initiatives & procurement analytics within Maersk’s airfreight operations. This role is to safeguard airfreight capabilities by ensuring the timely review, submission, and management of all applications and adjustments, for example IATA/CASS and other regulatory requirements. In addition, the person in this role drives analytics & insights to improve the procurement process & outcomes across the airfreight regions. The role requires close collaboration with regional stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to internal customers on airfreight compliance matters. Additionally, this position will provide critical decision support for the Airfreight Procurement team.

What you’ll be doing
Airfreight Procurement Analytics
- Support the airfreight procurement strategy, including but not limited to Core Carrier Strategy
- Assist in negotiations of airfreight rates, services, incentives, and contracts with existing and new airlines
- Generate regular reports on:
- Airline incentive performance / Core carrier usage / Airline on-time performance / Density pricing
- BSA utilization, BUP, and consolidation efficiency
- Support regular business reviews with airlines
- Monitor the performance and KPIs of core carriers
- Drive data-based insights into action, particularly regarding buying rates, profitability, allocation usage, and more
- Assist with gateway utilization by providing data-driven insights
Compliance
- Accountable for all IATA/ICAO-related tasks and responsibilities
- IATA code management
- Bank guarantee management
- Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for internal stakeholders and IATA
- Legislation monitoring and ongoing development
- Ensure compliance and maintain the separation between Maersk Airfreight (MAF) and MOCA (Maersk Own Controlled Air)
- Contract Management
- MOU (Memorandum of Understanding), LIA (Letter of Intent Agreement), Co C (Code of Conduct), and GIA (General Insurance Agreement)
- Roll out global and regional initiatives within Maersk L&S
- Support internal and external compliance audits
- Create and maintain a Global Data Repository
- Assist in airline visits and meetings
- Facilitate internal discussions with stakeholders , t ake minutes during airline and internal discussions
- Provide reports to management and stakeholders

- Proven industry specific experience
- Being familiar with IATA/ICAO regulations
- A bility to ensure strict adherence to legal and industry standards, while managing necessary documentation and certifications
- Given the legal and operational aspects, attention to detail is critical to avoid compliance violations or operational errors
- Building long-term partnerships with carriers and stakeholders while m onitoring performance and support c onflict -resolution s
- A bility to interpret and use data to drive insights related to rates, performance, and optimization strategies
- Using data to identify trends and opportunities for improving procurement strategies and operational efficiencies.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization
