As a Room Attendant, you will be an integral part of the housekeeping team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas. Your role will involve assisting the housekeeping staff with various tasks to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for our guests. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Room Cleaning and Preparation: Assist in cleaning and preparing guest rooms by making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and replenishing amenities.
- Linen and Supply Management: Collect used linens and deliver clean linens to the designated areas.
- Replenish supplies, such as toiletries and towels, as needed in guest rooms and public areas.
- Public Area Cleaning: Assist in maintaining cleanliness in public areas, including corridors, lobbies, elevators, and other common spaces, by vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
- Waste Management: Empty trash and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal of waste and adherence to recycling procedures.
- Restocking and Inventory: Monitor and restock housekeeping carts with supplies, such as cleaning agents, linens, and amenities, as necessary. Report any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Guest Service: Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for additional amenities, towels, or other housekeeping services, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient completion of tasks, providing assistance and support as needed.
- Adherence to Safety and Sanitation Standards: Follow established safety and sanitation procedures, including the proper handling and storage of cleaning agents and equipment. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area. Identify and report any damages, maintenance issues, or safety hazards in guest rooms or public areas to the Housekeeping Supervisor for prompt resolution.
- Flexibility: Be prepared to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the operational needs of the hotel.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role is preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment is beneficial.
