About the team:
We are looking for a highly motivated Data Scientist to join our multicultural Corporate Audit Data Analytics team (VAPD). As a Data Scientist, you will be guiding our data analytics development and promoting best practices. You will mentor and support the Audit teams, oversee integrations with internal and external systems and applications, and provide technical/methodology guidance. In this role you will be making recommendations and providing input regarding integrating additional data analytics services, and designing and building solutions for Audit department needs.

What you can look forward to as Corporate Audit Data Scientist (m/f/d):

• Automation of data collection, data consolidation and data transformation processes, gather and analyze Corporate Audit department needs, obtain necessary accesses to acquire data and work with internal partners to design process enhancements through reports, dashboards, workflows/alerts (i.e., continuous auditing).
• Preparation and performance of data analysis to identify risks and related audit fields, gather, transform, and provide high-quality data e.g., for dashboards and periodic reports.
• Data preparation, modelling, visualization, and service to support risk-oriented audit planning and execution, communication with, and comprehensive support of, the global Audit teams data analytics requests (i.e., interpret and refine the results of the analytics provided).
• Continuous improvement of existing data analytics processes, tools e.g., Azure, Power BI, Excel, etc. and the portfolio of data analytics test procedures, and development of reports, dashboards, and key audit indicators.
• Coordination with data and process owners and IT for performance of individual and ad-hoc requested analysis, work in cross functional internal/external teams on data analytics to improve our Standards & Processes.
The position also offers the opportunity to participate in an international audit.

Your profile as Corporate Audit Data Scientist (m/f/d):

• University degree in computer science, data science, finance, economy or similar.
• Experience in data management or data analytics/data visualization, ability to analyze and document complex data metrics, open to explore novel approaches for problem-solving through the use of Machine Learning, AI, and automation.
• Firm understanding of data sources/bases/structure and ERP systems.
• Outstanding knowledge in Excel (including pivot tables, pivot charts), experience with Power BI, Azure tools, Knowledge of SQL, VBA, or any other programming language (e.g., Python).
• Experience in internal auditing would be an advantage.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain data and observations to a non-technical audience in English language.
