Eye On data science implements quick-wins to industry-leading advanced data science projects: we work a the pace according to our customer's reality. We are experienced in data handling, modelling, visualisation, and digital transformation. We’re not just expert in leading tech and data science but offer dedicated apps to unleash our customer's data destiny. Eye On solves data science challenges in Honeycomb, our data science platform built on Dataiku technology. To enable our industry-leading forecasting and inventory management approaches, we developed our own proprietary plugins. Honeycomb simplifies collaboration and enables us to run data science projects quickly, effectively, and at the highest quality.

This is a hybrid role where Eindhoven would by your office location. Eye On is working globally for leading multinational orgnizations. Our offices are in Eindhoven, Antwerp, Geneva and Zürich, Düsseldorf, Dublin and New York.

Your role
You are the go-to person for anything technical – whether it’s Python, AWS, Linux or even HTML. You play your part in challenging projects with our global customers. You keep the product development wheels turning, whether it’s for the work we’re doing today or in our product development for next year’s customer-facing applications. Sometimes you may need to do some firefighting, but generally we prefer fire prevention.
You work in a small and diverse team. Together, we ensure our customer projects run smoothly even if transactional data is 100’s of millions of lines, we provide all Eye On colleagues a great platform to make their daily (work) lives better, and we give our customers cloud applications with tangible business value.
You effectively combine hands-on technical work, coaching colleagues, and customer projects in a variety of roles.

Profile
The ideal candidate profile would look like:

Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, econometrics and/or equivalent work experience
Strong (academic) experience in programming
Strong affinity with technology, data and IT. Knowledge of and development experience in both back-end and front-end technologies.
Relevant technologies for the role: Python (pandas, numpy, fastapi), Spark, HTML, CSS, Java Script, HTMX, Vue.js, AWS, SQL, etc. You have deep experience with some of these. You’ve at least heard of the others (and if not, you’ve just now googled them).
Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills. Ability to articulate this in internal and external communication.
Affinity with or experience in our domains: supply chain, forecasting, demand planning, supply planning.
Strong organization skills and high attention to detail.
Fluent in English
