Job description

As the E&I Project Lead you serves as a connecting link between technical execution and project management, focusing on collaboration, communication, and technical expertise to successfully deliver projects within set parameters.

In this role some of the responsibilities are:
Planning and coordinating projects (in the field of E&I and A);

Validating and correcting equipment lists, P&IDs, electrical schematics, etc;

Documenting, coordinating, advising, and controlling electrical requirements for suppliers and partners regarding the delivery of machines, process components, instruments, cabling, and/or control parts;

Ensuring quality and quality procedures within projects;

Supporting the sales engineer with quotes and calculations for client-specific projects;

Coordinating and properly documenting other electrical (client-specific) documents within the project: datasheets, manuals, bills of materials, test lists, etc;

Collaborating with the department manager to elevate the department to a higher level.

Job requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or; a relevant field;

Extensive experience in the E&I and A field, preferably in the process industry;

Experience in leading or coordinating (small) project teams;

Good communication skills;

Strong practical electrical insight;

Ability to work in a structured and accurate manner;

Good planning and organizational skills;

You think solution-oriented;

Preferably some knowledge of EPLAN, PLC programming, instrumentation, and control systems for processes;

Proficiency in Afrikaans and English. German is a plus.
