MLH Field Service Technicians repair, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on pipettes. Comprehensive training is provided. Training is presented in English and lasts up to 4 weeks (we combine theory with practice).
Previous experience in laboratory work is a plus, but it is not necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide quality service to all customers
• Communicate professionally and effectively with customers and colleagues
• Maintain and develop customer relations
• Working with customer service and sales teams to meet targets
• Perform repetitive tasks accurately in accordance with instructions
• Read and interpret technical diagrams
• Use small hand-held tools to perform calibration and repair
• Attend regular training to maintain professional and technical knowledge
• Follow prescribed safety procedures when handling equipment and hazardous materials
• Maintain accurate records and reports

SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to read and follow instructions as posted.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to accurately pipette to the Gilson Standard.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to manage a busy schedule with relative independence.

PHYSICAL ABILITY

• Requires good or corrected vision.
• Good manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift 25kg

OTHER

• Must speak English clearly and fluently. Dutch is beneficial.
• Must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Must have a clean, professional appearance.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Able to travel frequently, overnight stay may be required.
• Ability to acquire new skills and to accommodate change in the workplace.
