This is your chance to start your career within the VELUX Group and join our established Global IT Support team for Northwestern Europe, focusing on the Netherlands.

Your challenges
As our Global IT supporter, you will represent VELUX IT as the first point of contact on most IT-related issues throughout our offices worldwide, primarily focusing on the Netherlands. Your responsibility will be to provide daily IT support to your colleagues on-site and via phone or MS Teams. You will work hands-on with IT inquiries, follow up on cases with our external partners and communicate with our users throughout the process.

More specifically, you will:

  • Provide excellent first-line support on Windows OS clients, the Office 365 suite, audio/video equipment and mobile devices. General Networking and Active Directory knowledge is a preferred skill.
  • Take full responsibility for your tasks, including prioritising the most urgent support inquiries and following up on and registering completed tasks in Service Now, where we handle all our incidents, problems and changes.
  • Support our IT support vendor with IT infrastructure projects and issue handling.
  • Document IT support policies and business procedures across VELUX IT.
  • Share knowledge within your team and across VELUX IT.
  • Carry out professional service to a degree where high satisfaction is ensured every time.

You will primarily be working from our VELUX office in Utrecht, with occasional days working from our two other locations in Opmeer.

Your qualifications
You are service-minded and know the importance of delivering timely and high-quality IT support in an international company. It is essential that you are good at communicating with people at all levels of an organisation and have what it takes to be an excellent IT ambassador and an appreciated colleague in our IT community. Moreover:

  • You have experience from a similar position, making you capable of meeting colleagues in a confident and professional way.
  • You have an IT Supporter degree or equivalent.
  • You thrive in a social setting and can stay professional in critical situations.
  • You take ownership of your tasks and work in a responsible and structured manner.
  • You communicate effortlessly in Dutch and English as you support colleagues in both languages.

You will join a team of 12 dedicated IT support colleagues in Denmark, the United Kingdom, Belgium and the Netherlands, where we work closely together and share knowledge and insights – as well as laughs.
