HSE Officer
Location: Heerenveen, Netherlands (On-site, Full-time)

As an HSE Officer at Accell, you are responsible for ensuring processes that lead to a safe and healthy working environment. You focus on operational processes within production and logistics, positively promoting the safety culture within Accell. You work closely with relevant departments and are also available for safety activities in our Dutch offices.
What’s the job all about?
With the growth Accell Group is experiencing, the HSE Manager role is crucial. You will shape and maintain our safety culture, ensuring compliance with industry standards, reducing risks, and promoting excellent environmental practices. In this role, you support the Q-HSE Manager in our journey toward ISO14001 certification. You lead by example, make behavior a topic of discussion, identify deviations, and direct corrective and preventive actions. You take the initiative to improve HSE aspects.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities involve?

• Develop and Implement: Health and safety plans in line with legal guidelines to foster a safety-first culture.
• Risk Assessment and Compliance: Assess practices, procedures, and facilities to ensure compliance with the law.
• Audit and Reporting: Conduct audits and report findings and improvements to the Plant Leadership Team.
• Accident Investigation: Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and make recommendations for future prevention.
• Training and Support: Design and deliver training to enhance safety awareness and compliance.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented leader who excels in fostering a safe work environment and meets the following qualifications:

• Proven Experience: Experience as a safety manager with a deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
• Strong Communicator: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in data analysis and risk assessment.
• Language Skills: Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Qualifications: A valid certification in occupational health and safety is required.
