Job Title: Import Processing Clerk

Location: Jamaica, NYC (Ferrari Express Inc.)
Reports To: Customs Broker
Employment Type: Full-Time (Overtime and weekend availability required based on operational needs)

Job Summary:

The Import Processing Clerk at Ferrari Express Inc. will assist in the efficient handling of import documentation, ensuring compliance with customs and Fish and Wildlife regulations. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, customs authorities, and external partners. Attention to detail is critical in this fast-paced environment, and responsibilities may extend beyond the scope outlined here to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process import documentation in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of customs entries, adhering to Fish and Wildlife import requirements.
• Coordinate and communicate with the Customs Broker and operations teams to resolve discrepancies or issues.
• Verify import shipments for completeness and accuracy, addressing any missing or incorrect information.
• Monitor shipment statuses and ensure timely clearance of goods through customs.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of shipments and deliveries.
• Stay updated on changes to customs, import, and Fish and Wildlife regulations.
• Assist with other duties and tasks as assigned, which may not be included in this job description.
• Maintain organized records of import transactions and necessary documentation for auditing purposes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in customs or logistics preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, Fish and Wildlife criteria, and import compliance.
• Proficiency in using logistics management and customs software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle time-sensitive tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, as required by business needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting of shipments and packages may be required.
