Job Description

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
The employee must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of commodity merchandising. A successful employee will develop a strong understanding of ADM’s sweeteners and starches production capabilities, quality procedures, infrastructure, and logistic systems. The junior sales account manager will also define and follow customers’ requirements, requests, inquiries, competitors' activities, and dynamics that affect sweeteners and starches markets. The candidate will rely on experience, risk management, and analytical judgment to plan and accomplish different sales and marketing tasks and goals, deliver budgeted results, and support the central sales and distribution teams' customer and product portfolio development.

MAIN FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate’s primary role will be to remotely maintain, develop and organize sales and marketing activities within respected areas France, UK, North Ireland, Spain, and Portugal. Primary functions in this role will be remotely negotiating current contracts and developing potential sweeteners and starches for local customers while following ADM internal procedures and sales department best practices. Secondary functions will be sales and marketing research for the European sweeteners and starches markets.

FUNCTIONS:

Appropriately represent the company to external and internal partners
Maintains relationships with active and potential customers, identifying different requests, transferring information, specifying details of the activity
Organizes, conducts and reports commercial discussions, correspondence, meetings and negotiations with active and potential customers
Prepare sales and marketing research for the European sweeteners and starches markets by country, product family and application
Creates, tracks and analyses the execution of commercial contracts
Updates the sales forecast and all respected sales applications regularly
Prepares reports, analyses and recommendations concerning the commercial activity of the company
Proposes changes to his line manager regarding clients responsibilities, reporting, internal communication and procedures optimization
Works in close connection and good cooperation with the Logistics, Finance, Planning, and Production Department
Monitors, maintains and updates customer database;
