Your role:
As a KYC Specialist you have the expertise to perform high-quality customer assessments. By acting in a critical and customer-oriented way, KYC/CDD is the pivotal role of the bank in complying with the laws and preventing reputational damage.

Your role:
As a KYC Specialist you have the expertise to perform high-quality customer assessments. By acting in a critical and customer-oriented way, KYC/CDD is the pivotal role of the bank in complying with the laws and preventing reputational damage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform activities like collection of information, identification & verification of relevant parties including clients and execution of the Customer Due Diligence procedures in order to be able to onboard or reject clients.
- Perform the periodic or event-driven reviews of clients according to GBI’s CDD procedures.
- Perform Transactional Due Diligence according to GBI’s procedures and acquire the necessary information from clients in cooperation with the Front Offices. This will enable you to understand the rationale of the transaction and mitigate risks related to these transactions.
- In case you encounter an unusual transaction (pattern), you immediately take the necessary escalation steps according to GBI’s procedures.
- Make sure that all data inputted are correct, consistent and complete.
- Follow up periodic or ad-hoc reports and exception lists to make sure that all customer and transactional data is actual and compliant (Expired account opening, dormant accounts, open exceptions e.g.)
- Perform required client identification reviews and you perform first level of elimination of false positives or things that stand out (in)directly.
- Safeguard the classified information of our clients in line with GBI’s information security and data protection rules.
- You make every effort to prevent incidents, compliance related breaches and your focus is on “getting things done for our clients in a sustainable way that remains compliant with regulations”.
- Collaborate proactively with your colleagues and inform them about status of cases and identify and flag issues. You escalate constructive and timely.
- You contribute to a positive working environment and give and request feedback to uphold a positive collaboration.
- Your performance (evaluation) is based on individual contribution.

- Advanced knowledge of AML regulations, CAMS certification
- TDD and Fraud related activities.
- Familiar with industry related directives such as MIFID, EMIR, FATCA and CRS, Wwft Experience in conducting customer due diligence, Regulatory Reporting
- Excellent command of English, Dutch or other European language is a pre
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in law, Finance, Business Administration
