Your contribution to Tenne T

As Lead Cable & Survey, you will lead a talented and diverse team of technical experts, all working together to support the successful delivery of our large-scale 2GW offshore projects on the North Sea. From early development to construction, installation, and commissioning, your team will be at the heart of ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with the highest safety standards. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Tenne T to minimize risks and optimize outcomes.

Your Leadership Role

Lead and inspire the team within the Engineering & Services department, providing both professional and personal guidance.
Foster a continuous learning environment, driving improvements and cost reduction across all projects.
Be the key contact for various departments such as Asset Management, System Operations, and Grid Field Operations, acting as a bridge for interdepartmental collaboration.
Oversee design reviews and quality assurance, ensuring improvements are made both in the engineering phase and during construction.
Ensure compliance with technical standards, while actively contributing to the development of new processes and business practices.
Manage team resources, making sure we have the right people in place to deliver on our ambitious goals.
Create and implement strategies that support cross-departmental efforts and contribute to the success of the overall project.

The team Cable & Survey is responsible for all the aspects regarding cable routing, geological and UXO survey and the technical issues during the cable laying operation. An extensive responsibility due to changing environmental and geological conditions, complex (HDD) drilling through protected or crowded areas and implementing new cable laying techniques.
Within this (both interesting and challenging) field of work you are the team Lead who is not only responsible for delivering engineering, but also checks and ensures the quality of work, sees new opportunities for smarter working (and improving affordability) and brings HSE topics within Engineering & Services to a higher level. For the Survey part you are directly connected to ministries and institutions.

Your profile and background

You are familiar with HSE practices and have a strong quality focus.
Analytical and structured in your approach, with a focus on results and quality.
Excellent communication skills (Dutch and English), with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and bring people together to achieve shared goals.
You’re adaptable, can think on your feet, and thrive in dynamic environments.
Solid professional experience in a relevant field and a proven track record of success.
Experience in managing and developing teams, where you’ve built an environment of trust, collaboration, and professional growth.
You have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree, preferably in engineering (civil, mechanical, geosciences, electrical) or a similar field.

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.
