For our IT - Data & Analytics team in the head office in Rotterdam, we are looking for a:
MDM Application Specialist
Your opportunity:
As an MDM (Master Data Management) Application Specialist working with our MDM platforms, you will be a crucial member of our Group IT Data & Analytics team, focusing on maintaining and enhancing enterprise-wide master data & document solutions. You will support IMCD’s Global Digital Transformation Journey by ensuring high-quality, consistent, and accurate master data across the organization. Based in Rotterdam and reporting to the Group Manager Data & Analytics, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the applications meet business requirements and drives data consistency and governance across all systems. As an MDM Application Specialist within the Data & Analytics team.
Your primary responsibilities:

Administer and Maintain MDM Platforms: Oversee the configuration, administration, and maintenance of MDM applications Syndigo, Hyland Onbase and Li Sam Ex ESS to ensure data integrity and availability.
Design and Implement MDM Solutions: Develop, implement, and optimize MDM solutions, focusing on data governance, quality, and security.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with business units, product owners, and IT teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective MDM solutions.
Data Integration and Workflow Management: Design and manage data integration workflows, ensuring seamless data flow between Syndigo and other enterprise systems.
Enhance Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality management processes, monitor data quality metrics, and resolve data inconsistencies.
Support Global Data Initiatives: Engage in global data initiatives, ensuring the Syndigo platform supports data standardization and harmonization across the organization.
Troubleshoot and Optimize: Identify and troubleshoot issues within the Syndigo application and related data processes, continuously seeking opportunities for optimization.

Who we are looking for:
For this role, we are seeking an individual who is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of quickly adapting to new technologies and business models. The ideal candidate will have:

Proficiency in MDM Technologies: Strong understanding of MDM concepts, preferably with the Syndigo application, including configuration, data modeling, and workflow management.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and integration, along with experience in API management for data exchange between systems.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, particularly in resolving data-related issues within MDM platforms.
Collaboration Skills: Excellent ability to work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable MDM solutions.
Understanding of Data Integration: Experience in designing and managing data integration processes, ensuring data consistency across systems.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Work Experience: Preferably 2-5 years of experience in a similar MDM role, with hands-on experience working with the Syndigo platform or similar MDM tools.
Legal Requirements: Fluent in English, with a Dutch or EU work permit necessary.
