About this vacancy

The role focuses on overseeing the planning, design and optimization of layout for industrial machinery, equipment and components used in sectors like mining, cement production or heavy manufacturing. Review and verify mechanical engineering drawings, schematics and models for accuracy, adherence to design specifications and compliance with industry standards. Ensure that all design are optimized for manufacturability, safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Review and verify mechanical drawings, schematics and models
• Coordinate with manufacturing and construction teams to ensure seamless implementation
• Present design concepts and technical details to internal team and external stakeholders
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of mechanical systems
• Work closely with electrical, civil and process engineers to integrate layout and mechanical systems into overall project designs
• Analyze design problems and devise solutions to improve functionality, cost or manufacturability
• Stay updated on new design technologies and industry trends to enhance product innovation
• Review and approve electrical designs and installations performance by third parties.

What we expect from you

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 7 - 10 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with planning, design, optimization of layout for industrial machinery, equipment, cement production and components used in sectors like mining, cement production or heavy manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, heavy machinery design and process engineering.
• Familiarity with codes and standards relevant to mechanical design (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO)
• Proven track record of leading large-scale design projects from concept to completion
• Excellent communication skills in the English language.
• Strong analytical and logic skills
