Created in 2009, Eiffel is a French portfolio manager that places energy transition and impact at the very heart of its investment strategies. As an independent management company, Eiffel mainly invests on private markets (private equity, infrastructure and corporate financing).


Its clients are large institutional investors (insurers, mutuals, pension funds, banks, large family offices, public investors, etc.), as well as retail investors through distribution networks. Eiffel cultivates an entrepreneurial mindset among its teams and benefits from a strong growth: the company has seen its assets under management doubling between 2021 and 2024. Eiffel’s team gathers approximately 100 talented employees, in France (Paris), Be Ne Lux (Amsterdam), United States (New York) and United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi).

Position

Since 2017, the Private Debt strategy has aimed to support companies of all sizes, listed and unlisted, over the long term with customized financing tailored to their growth strategy. With a mission to support the development of European SMEs, the Private Debt investment team manages more than €3 billion on behalf of major institutional investors. With 15 members dedicated to the Private Debt strategy, the management team originates and analyzes financing opportunities, structures transactions and monitors the companies financed.


Key Responsibilities:


Origination:

• Identification and selection of investment opportunities (screening, deal flow monitoring).
• Development of a network of private equity and intermediaries in the Netherlands and Europe.

Analysis and execution of transactions:

• Analysis of financing opportunities from both a financial and extra-financial point of view.
• Negotiation and structuring of financing in conjunction with legal advisors.
• Definition of borrowers' extra-financial trajectories.
• Drafting of investment notes and participation in Eiffel's investment committees.

Portfolio monitoring:

• Monitoring of information commitments and regular interaction with portfolio companies.
• Preparation of and participation in Board meetings (censor role) if appropriate.
• Accompanying companies, particularly with regard to extra-financial commitments.

Investor relations management:

• Involved in fund-raising (meetings with potential investors, contribution to due diligence).
• Contribution to quarterly investor reports.
• Participation in meetings with investors and follow-up on commitments made to them.

Profile

We are looking for a strong commercially driven, independently operating professional with an entrepreneurial mindset.


Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following:

• Master's Degree in Finance/Investments or related field;
• 7 - 10 years of relevant experience, specifically in private debt, and with a demonstrable track record;
• Relevant network within PE, specifically in The Netherlands;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Collaborative, with the ability to work independently;
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills;
• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and personal accountability;
• Fluent in English and Dutch, French is a plus.
