August 23, 2024

As part of our Capacity Development EU team, you’ll play a crucial role in advancing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) projects across Europe. Our key focus is a groundbreaking, commercial-scale e SAF facility that produces SAF from renewable electricity, water, and CO2. As a Project Manager, you’ll oversee and guide this innovative project through its phases, ensuring smooth progress towards a successful Final Investment Decision (FID). If you’re passionate about sustainability and thrive in the dynamic environment of a fast-growing scale-up, this could be your dream job!
About the Team
The Cap Dev EU team is focused on advancing this innovative project to develop a commercial-scale e SAF facility. This facility will produce e SAF using renewable electricity, water, and CO2, marking a significant step toward a more sustainable aviation industry. The project is working towards Final Investment Decision, positioning the team at the forefront of transforming aviation fuel production.
About the role
As a Project Manager reporting directly to the Head of Cap Dev EU, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our project to success. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the agenda for team meetings, ensuring clear communication, and reporting progress to senior leadership. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, resources, timelines, and deliverables.

Stakeholder management will be a critical aspect of your role, where you will ensure alignment with our development partners, maintaining strong and collaborative relationships. You will oversee the project budget, working closely with the finance team to establish and track expenditures, ensuring that projects remain within budget.

In preparation for Steering Committee and Project Development Board meetings, you will be tasked with preparing materials that reflect the project's progress and challenges. You will also manage the preparations for the Stage Gate Reviews, ensuring that all relevant deliverables are presented for evaluation at the end of each project phase.

Risk management is another key responsibility, where you will identify potential risks, assess their impact, and develop effective mitigation strategies to ensure the smooth progression of the project. Additionally, you will support the Commercial and Technical teams as needed, providing the necessary project management expertise to drive success.

This position is based in Amsterdam and requires a flexible approach, with the willingness to travel within Europe as needed.
