About the job
Within the Integrated Brand Communications team of Danone Benelux, you will be responsible for Retail Media: encompassing insights (analysis and planning), offsite (open web) + onsite (retailer channels), as well as post-activation data analysis. Your main goal will be to oversee our efforts in driving conversion through paid digital placements on retailer websites & pure players across the full Danone BNL Portfolio - Dairy, PB, Waters & Specialized Nutrition. As retail media is on the rise in BNL, your role will be critical in making Danone succeed in this space.

You will be involved in the following operations:
- Analyse market trends and purchasing behaviours across BNL markets to identify growth opportunities and develop action plans;
- Insight generation & holistic omnichannel approach design: gather & utilize retail data to build insights about our audience to solve business challenges;
- Collaborate with marketing, shopper and ecommerce teams to ensure a harmonious integration of activations and maximize consumer preference;
- Onsite: design marketing initiatives on retailer owned websites using traditional advertising methods (search, display & sponsored products) to attract and convert consumers online;
- Offsite: using retail data sets to target audiences off the retailer websites on media platforms, open web, BE & NL marketplaces, Google shopping, DOOH;
- Co-decide on budget allocation for online consideration & conversion campaigns, ensuring optimal return on investment.
- Together with Sr Media Manager, co-lead integration of retail media as part of 360 paid media strategies;
- Lead integration of retail media under one media agency ecosystem, co-define ways of working;
- Track and evaluate campaign performance to identify areas for improvement and maximize results.
- Shoppable media capabilities: knowledge of mid & low funnel, digital media execution, performance measurement, detailed analytics and attribution models;
- Deep expertise in SEA, as well as holistic search strategies (share of voice vs ROAS, Google Shopping);
- Online digital marketing expertise - search ads, sponsored products, category targeted banners, mastheads;
- Shopping behaviours & path to purchase – from holistic vision to execution;
- Experience with Bol & Amazon.com DSP (targeting inside & outside Amazon / Bol.com ecosystem);
- Experience with Google Stack & Meta Collaborative ads;
- Digital OOH (in-store activations, in collaboration with shopper team);
- Measurement acumen – driving holistic results from various touchpoints to uncover incrementality, tied back to business KPIs;
- Familiarity with 1P data, demand generation, segmentation and remarketing;
- Experience with digital shelf capability, Ratings & Reviews & Search Placement.
- You will collaborate daily with our BE & NL Senior Media Managers, BE & NL Shopper Teams & BNL Brand Teams. You will also have recurring exchanges with our agency and networks, cross-functional expertise teams (Digital, D2C, E-commerce, S&I, CRM, etc.), as well as the local sales & global teams.
- University / bachelor graduate (business school, engineer or university), you have at least 2-5 years of relevant experience in a Retail Media / Performance Marketing role;
- Prior experience in Category Management / Market and consumer studies / Shopper Marketing / Data analysis are nice to have;
- Retail environment preferred, FMCG sector as second choice;
- You are business-oriented, results-driven and are able to challenge the status quo;
- You thrive in cross-department collaboration;
- You are both capable of data analysis & context interpretation for broader audiences;
- You are recognized for your hands-on approach, your ability to find solutions, are autonomous and proactive in the management of your function;
- You have the ability to prioritize, organize yourself and stay focused on your priorities in a changing environment;
- Your interpersonal skills allow you to develop a collaborative spirit internally and effectively manage change;
- You are fluent in English and Dutch. French is a strong plus.
