Job Summary: To realize the further professionalization and awareness on Ethics and Compliance we are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer who wants to work in an international context on many interesting compliance topics. About the role:

• Further development, professionalization and alignment of the existing Ethics & Compliance Framework
• Responsible and sparring partner for the ethics & compliance topics including but not limited to Kiwa's code of conduct, anti bribery anti corruption, fair competition, third party due diligence, privacy, whistleblowing, trade sanctions, etc;
• The Ethics & Compliance Framework of Kiwa has been based on the compliance frameworks of both shareholder SHV and TIC Council. The Senior Compliance Officer will be the liason with the TIC Council and may participate in the compliance committee meetings of TIC Council.
• To remain a member of the TIC Council the policies within Kiwa are audited. The Senior Compliance Officer will be the liason with the external auditors (e.g. KPMG).
• The Senior Compliance Officer will join the Kiwa Compliance Committee meetings that take place 4 times a year.
• The Senior Compliance Officer will be the liason with the professionals of de Kiwa compliance community in The Netherlands and abroad.
• The Senior Compliance Officer helps ensuring that the business has documented the appropriate compliance controls and that the effectiveness of the controls is adequately monitored and tested.
• Where compliance issues / control gaps are identified, the Senior Compliance Officer will advise and oversee the business in taking appropriate remedial action.
• The Senior Compliance Officer will support local gatekeepers where needed in order for them to handle whistleblowing cases properly;
• The Senior Compliance Officer will anticipate on possible compliance challenges related to envisaged mergers & acquisitions (assessing risk and undertaking E&C due diligence) and support the implementation of Kiwa's Compliance program (incl. remediation actions) following a merger and acquisition.
• Facilitate trainings and e-learnings on the diverse ethics & compliance topics within Kiwa, both for existing and newly joined employees.
• Manage Kiwa's privacy compliance program and ensure that this is adhered to in the different countries in close coordination with the local Kiwa compliance community. Monitor privacy/GDPR breaches and manage the data processing register.

Do you have what it takes?:

• You have Bachelor level in a to the position relevant area;
• Experience with the further development, implementation and monitoring of compliance programmes;
• Specific experience working on corporate compliance topics such as ABAC, trade sanctions, third party due diligence, whistle blower, code of conduct and privacy/GDPR;
• You have strong communication, risk monitoring and reporting skills;
• Experience with the communication & learning aspects of big international compliance programmes;
• You are commited and enthousiastic to drive Ethics & Compliance in the Kiwa organisation;
• You can act in a dynamic, international and decentral environment;
• You are a trusted advisor and teamplayer;
• You are reliable, independent and convincing;
• You are a sparring partner to the board and management;
• You are fluent in English (other languages are welcome);
• You live in the Netherlands and are allowed to work here.
