Key Responsibilities
- Development and Automation: Design and implement automation solutions within the Openshift/Kubernetes ecosystem, leveraging advanced software engineering techniques.
- Operator Development: Create and maintain Kubernetes/Openshift operators using Go, Java, or C++ to enhance platform functionality and integration capabilities.
- Monitoring and Security: Develop and deploy monitoring solutions and security controls to ensure robust platform operation.
- Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and performance optimizations for Openshift/Kubernetes clusters.
- Release and Test Automation: Automate software release workflows and create test automation frameworks to support reliable and scalable platform operations.
- Computer Science and Software Engineering Expertise: 5+ years of experience with a strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Programming Skills: Proficient in Python, Java, C++, or Go (2-5 years).
- Linux and Development Tools: Skilled in Linux OS and integrated development environments (IDEs) with 2-5 years of hands-on experience.
- Containerization and Version Control: Minimum 2 years of experience with Docker and Git.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Familiarity with design patterns for scalable software development.
- Experience with RHEL, Openshift, or Kubernetes platforms.
- Knowledge of deployment automation tools like Argo CD.
- Kubernetes application development or administration.
- Proficiency in CI/CD, automation tools, and scripting.
- Experience with monitoring metrics using Prometheus, Elastic, or related tools.
