Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Dev Ops Engineer located in North Holland, Netherlands. The Senior Dev Ops Engineer will be responsible for implementing Infrastructure as Code (Ia C), software development, continuous integration, system administration, and Linux management on a daily basis.
At Geniox Services we’re looking for an experience Senior Dev Ops engineer who can be responsible for defining the network architecture, deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet our strict security and customer satisfaction requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering and be familiar with Ruby, Go Lang and Python, and will work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended. The Dev Ops engineer will also help plan projects and be involved in network architecture decisions and in troubleshooting with external customer integrations.
Objectives of this role
Pay: €70.000,00 - €90.000,00 per year

Objectives of this role
- Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure
- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers
- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
- Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
- Working with and international software development team and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
- Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions
- Deploy updates and fixes, and provide Level 2 technical support
- Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
- Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
- Develop scripts to automate visualization
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Experience as a Dev Ops engineer or in a similar software engineering role
- Proficiency with Git and Git Hub workflows
- Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Search and other Monitoring tools
- Proficiency with Network and VPN (IPSec, BGP) design and implementation
- Cloud Expierence, preferably Google Cloud Certification
- Good knowledge of Ruby, GOLang, Python
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Experience in the Telekom industry (Diameter Gy, Diameter RO, MQTT)
- Experience with Virtualization, VMWare, Linux and Microsoft
- Experience with Active Directory
- Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) and System Administration skills
- Software Development and Continuous Integration skills
- Proficiency in Linux management
- Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Problem-solving attitude
- Collaborative team spirit
- Master of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science or engineering
- Experience in civil engineering or customer experience
- Experience in developing/engineering applications for a large company
- Proficiency in English
- Basic understanding of Ukrainian is a plus
Pay: €70.000,00 - €90.000,00 per year
