As a Senior Frontend Engineer in our team, your primary role will focus on designing and developing cutting-edge user interfaces using React, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience. What you’ll be doing

• Cloud Architecture Transition for Frontend Applications: You’ll play a pivotal role in transforming our existing frontend systems into a cloud-optimized architecture based on React and Next.js. This will involve reengineering the current frontend infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, and adaptability to modern cloud environments, enabling seamless operation across diverse platforms.
• Software Evolution for Traffic Management Frontends: Your role will involve continuous development of our frontend interfaces, focusing on building intuitive solutions that support traffic violation handling and enforcement workflows. You'll enhance the frontend experience to meet evolving business requirements in the traffic management sector, ensuring an efficient, user-centered design.
• System Stability with CI/CD and QA for Frontend Development: You will collaborate with the team to maintain and improve the stability and performance of the frontend systems using modern CI/CD pipelines and QA methodologies. This includes contributing to the development and refinement of testing frameworks, ensuring high-quality, consistently reliable user interfaces throughout deployment cycles.
• Global Cloud Platform Frontend Operations: Your expertise will contribute to optimizing our frontend applications' performance across various cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will ensure that our frontends deliver a responsive and seamless user experience, regardless of geographic location, ensuring global scalability and operational efficiency.
• Autonomy in a Self-Steering Team: As a member of a self-managing team, you’ll have the freedom to make impactful technical decisions regarding frontend architecture and development strategies. This role allows you to guide the direction of frontend initiatives and implement key technical decisions that shape the user experience and overall frontend performance.
• Role Model in Frontend Engineering Excellence: In a senior capacity, you will set the standard for teamwork, frontend architectural best practices, and software quality. You will mentor fellow engineers, lead by example in collaborative efforts to enhance frontend architecture, champion advanced design principles, and ensure the highest level of quality in all frontend solutions. • React and Frontend Engineering Expertise: You must have extensive experience with React and Next.js, alongside a solid understanding of core frontend engineering principles such as component design, state management (e.g., Redux or Context API), and optimizing performance for large-scale applications. Strong knowledge of Java Script, Type Script, HTML, and CSS is essential to build efficient and responsive user interfaces.
• Proficiency in Modern Frontend Tooling: Experience with modern development tools such as CI/CD pipelines, Git, and build systems (e.g., Webpack, Vite) is required. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, as they apply to frontend development and deployment, is a plus.
• English Language Fluency: You must be fluent in English, as it's the primary language of communication within our global team.
• Agile Team Player: Ability to excel in a collaborative, Agile work environment.
• Office Presence in Amsterdam: Willingness to work from the Amsterdam office at least three days a week.
