Role definition
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commvault Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in maintaining, administrating and supporting Commvault backup tool, Veeam backup tool, Azure Backup.
Installation and Configuration. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain robust applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.


Expected qualification and critical experiences –

• Deploying, installing, and configuring the Commvault software on servers and clients.
• Backup and Recovery: Setting up and managing backup policies and schedules to ensure data protection. This includes configuring backup jobs, retention policies, and data recovery procedures.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitoring the health and performance of Commvault systems and creating reports to analyze backup and recovery activities.
• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving issues related to data backup and recovery, including errors, failures, and data loss incidents.
• Data Migration: Assisting in data migration projects, including moving data between storage systems or cloud platforms while ensuring data integrity.
• Disaster Recovery: Implementing and testing disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of data loss or system failures.
• Software Updates and Patch Management: Keeping the Commvault software up-to-date by applying patches and updates to maintain security and performance.
• User Access and Security: Managing user access and permissions, ensuring data security and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Capacity Planning: Monitoring and optimizing storage resources to accommodate the growth of data and ensure efficient use of storage.
• Documentation: Maintaining documentation related to backup policies, configurations, and recovery procedures for reference and auditing purposes.
• Training and Support: Providing training and support to end-users and IT teams on how to use the Commvault system effectively and assisting them in resolving any issues.
• Integration: Collaborating with other IT teams to integrate Commvault with other systems, such as databases, applications, and cloud services.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensuring that data management practices comply with industry regulations and organizational policies.
