As part of this mission, we are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to help shape the future of our IT systems within the Client Offering & Investors Area.
This is an assignment for ZZP'ers who live in the Netherlands and are registered at the Chamber of Commerce

In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding our credit rating applications to support a global rollout, as well as driving the automation of software delivery processes. You will work within a collaborative team environment, contributing to the development of next-generation applications that provide vital financial insights to our users.
Key responsibilities:

• Develop reusable code components in .Net/C#, with a focus on high-quality and maintainable solutions.
• Extend and optimize risk rating applications to support our global operations.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub.
• Work with SQL Server and Oracle databases to efficiently store and retrieve data.
• Integrate and manage messaging platforms such as Kafka, EMS, Active MQ, or IBM MQ.
• Prioritize security and reliability in all stages of software design and development.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement, providing and receiving constructive feedback.

What you bring:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in .Net/C# development.
• Proven experience in developing plug-ins, RESTful APIs, and supporting libraries.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Understanding of messaging platforms such as Kafka, EMS, Active MQ, or IBM MQ.
• A proactive approach to learning new technologies and improving personal skills.
• A collaborative mindset, with a commitment to helping your team succeed.

Bonus points for:

• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the financial industry, particularly in payments.
• Passion for reactive programming.
• Contributions to open-source projects or an active Git Hub profile.
• Familiarity with functional programming.
• Knowledge of ING’s in-house frameworks for back-end service development using containers.

What we offer:

• This is a freelance contract opportunity for self-employed professionals registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (Kv K).
• 36 hours per week.
• Maximum hourly rate €80.00.
