Technology Support Engineer

The Technology support engineer has a significant role in the PAC Chemical Analysis business unit sales organization. He/she is responsible for technical support during sales meetings, presentations and pre-sales activities. He/she will work on projects for the Application Manager for mostly the Gas Chromatography product line. The role will need to interact constructively with others across functional lines of responsibility.

Supporting Sales and Product managers, by making technical presentations, product demonstrations, etc.
Support sales channel in resolving application related escalation
Responsible for customer samples analysis
Assist product management during new product introductions
Recognize and resolve applicative, hardware & software issues
Writing of application notes

Education & Experience:

Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering
A minimum of 3 years prior hands-on/operating experience with Lab Instruments (preferable on Gas Chromatography analysis)

Knowledge & Skills:

Demonstrated ability to assist and teach customers in technical areas
Fluent in English
Solid presentation skills including the ability to explain complex technologies and product features
Good understanding of Organic Chemistry
Well organized, with a good ability to multitask and strong time management skills
Willingness to travel on an incidental base
