Fastned currently operates in nine countries (offices in Germany, the Netherlands, France, the UK, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Spain, and Denmark).

This role will be based in our HQ in Amsterdam, where you will become part of the Finance team. You will report directly to the Accounts Payable Lead and work as under the Accounts Payable team as a working student (Dutch). You will be responsible for a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks for several entities. With your experience and knowledge of processes and accounting systems, you are a great asset to our team.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assist in processing purchase invoices, reviewing open purchase orders and communicating potential accounting and payment issues with relevant departments such as Construction Management, Operations, IT, etc or suppliers;
  
• Assist in organizing AP’s email inbox;
  
• Maintain vendor master data;
  
• Support the senior accountants with the monthly closing, VAT statements and the preparation of the necessary documents for the annual audit.

Job requirements

You are someone who takes the initiative and takes responsibility for the tasks assigned to you. A keen eye for detail and critical thinking will help you keep our financial records up-to-date and accurate. You should also meet the following criteria:

• Highly motivated by Fastned's mission and accelerating the energy transition;
• In the last year of your studies in finance, economics or business;
  
• You're available for 16 to 20 hours a week;
• You are fluent in English and Dutch;
  
• You are proactive and a team player;
  
• You are good at multitasking;
  

Our perks

We offer flexible working hours, ranging from 16 to 20 hours per week for a minimum duration of 3 months. We understand that your studies require flexibility and will coordinate working hours in consultation with you, so that you can easily combine your work with your studies, but still work your hours from the office space in Amsterdam. You will be compensated with an hourly salary of €16,33 gross (including holiday pay). Additionally, you can enjoy free daily lunches, snacks & drinks at the office. Want to break a sweat?
