About the Role:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Crop Protection Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the industry crop protection programme; identifying, monitoring, addressing and communicating best practice, updates, emerging risks and opportunities.

About You:
We are looking for someone wanting to progress a technical based career that thrives in sharing knowledge and information with a wide stakeholder base. A great role for someone with operational or technical experience in either spraying, crop protection or agrichemicals. In particular, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate -
  • 3+ years experience in crop protection and pest management that includes spray application and agrichemical use in the horticulture industry in New Zealand
  • Ability to understand and practically apply technical knowledge
  • Confidently communicate crop protection and agrichemical knowledge and information with growers and take pride in providing industry good outcomes
  • Ability to build working relationships with a range of stakeholders will be foundational to monitoring and communicating industry challenges, issues and new developments
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail with the ability to manage and keep up to date critical industry information and systems
  • Excellent team player able to work with a dynamic team to achieve common objectives
  • Qualifications in a relevant science/horticulture discipline would be advantageous
