Our client is a key player in the building materials industry, delivering high-quality sand and associated products to customers across New Zealand. Currently operating a fleet of 3 vessels ranging in size from 48m – 58m
The Role
As a Deckhand, you'll be a crucial part of the crew, ensuring the smooth operation of the barge. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the vessel for departure, including handling letting go and berthing procedures.
- Carrying out cleaning, maintenance, and general housekeeping tasks onboard and ashore.
- Supporting the Master and Engineer with operations and maintenance.
- Actively participating in health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all.
- Hands-On Experience: Ideal for those with practical skills and a "can-do" attitude.

- Those candidates who hold a Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) QDC or SRL would be highly sought after.
