Your opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the efficient operation of Dairy NZ's facilities, corporate procurement, and office support/administration services. You will be an essential part of our Corporate Services team, ensuring the seamless functioning of our infrastructure and services. Your strategic support will contribute to cost-effective procurement strategies, ensuring optimal value for money across all investments, and upholding the highest of standards for the building and facilities aspects of health and safety. You will be based in our Hamilton office but have oversight of the facilities and support in our regional offices located in Lincoln, Invercargill, Palmerston North, Stratford, Rotorua, Whangarei and Wellington.
In the role you will support the business by:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize sourcing for offices and farms, emphasising cost-efficiency and sustainability.
- Overseeing vendor relationships and managing the associated contracts and delivery.
- Strategically planning office resources to align with operational needs.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety building regulations through regular assessments and working collaboratively with the H&S lead.
- Attracting and retaining key talent within your team to effectively achieve Dairy NZ’s goals.
You will have a passion for planning and executing projects and take a strategic approach to achieving relevant outcomes for Dairy NZ. Your solutions-focused and proactive approach will positively impact our people through fit-for-purpose working spaces and well-sourced operational resources.
As a team player you build and leverage your relationships across the Dairy NZ offices and externally with suppliers. You will display a high degree of integrity and professionalism while bringing a sense of fun and energy to the role.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- A proven track record in managing facilities, including strategic planning, budgeting, project management and change management.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relations.
- Sound analytical skills to evaluate options and recommend solutions.
- A relevant tertiary qualification.
- Knowledge in health and safety regulations and compliance.
