  • Join a supportive and collegial team that embraces challenges, grapples with and advises on a wide range of important issues, and has fun while doing so.

Ngā kawenga | About the role
Does the opportunity to work on a breadth of challenging issues and test your thinking in a collegial and fast-paced environment where ideas and advice find real world implications excite you?
As an Intermediate Solicitor in the Litigation team, you will work on a wide range of public law litigation matters, from applications for Judicial review to claims for breaches of the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act, to Coronial inquests and other proceedings before Tribunals and the Courts. In doing so, you will regularly engage in interesting and meaningful work, benefit from a commitment to values-based employment, and access ample opportunities for growth and development.
As a member of the wider legal team, you will be working to help Ara Poutama deliver on its strategy – Hōkai Rangi – which is focused on the pursuit of oranga, the wellbeing of people; to help ensure government according to law; to keep communities safe and to change lives.

  • An analytical and enquiring mind, supported by an understanding of Ara Poutama's role and strategic direction

Utu ā-tau | Salary
The mid point of the salary range is $103,678 and the full range (85%-120%) is $88,127 - $124,414. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
