As the only mattress manufacturer in New Zealand to make our own foam, we began manufacturing underlay as a sustainable way of using foam left over from our mattress manufacturing. Today, Sleepyhead Flooring sustainably sources foam from our manufacturing facilities across Australasia and selected partners in Asia and America.

The Opportunity
This is an essential role in the manufacturing of our market-leading mattresses. Based on the end of the line, Manual handling is a key function in this role; however, you also need to have a great attention to detail as a final quality check of the mattress is required before it is moved to dispatch.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Manual Handling – up to 30Kgs
• Conduct quality checks on all products and report any faults/concerns
• Loading and unloading containers
• Always follow safety guidelines and report any risks immediately

About you
The successful applicant will be a hard-working team player and will be able to commit to permanent employment. In addition to this, you will be:

• Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 30kgs
• A strong attention to detail
• A willingness to learn and a can-do attitude
• Have a genuine commitment to health and safety
• Good communication skills
• FL licence is advantageous but not essential
