Software Consultant - Data and Analytics

Mō te Tūranga | About the role
The Data Consumption squad are looking for experienced self-driven Data Platform Engineer. In this role you will be building a cutting-edge Data, AI and Analytics platform for our Data Science and Analytics teams. You should have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the technologies to work with business stakeholders to develop and define key business questions and requirements. You will provide guidance and support for other engineers with industry best practices and direction.
We advocate for T-Shaped teams and are looking for someone who is willing to learn new tools and processes while sharing their knowledge and uplifting others in the team.
This will include the following responsibilities:

• Continuously improve processes, technology, and tooling to automate workflows and ensure compliance controls are followed.
• Mentoring and uplifting the best practice and driving things with an automation mindset.
• Correspondence with vendors to provide support for Saa S (Software as a Service) services.
• Work closely with the team member to drive implementations of real-time monitoring and alerting
• Linux and Windows administration and troubleshooting.
• Manage many requests concurrently and strategically, prioritizing, when necessary, along with the team.
• Continuous research of latest data and analytics technologies and tools to provide guidance to the business/stakeholders to deliver their outcomes

Ō pūkenga | About you
We advocate agile, fully cross functional teams. We are looking for a mix of technical skills, including:

• Experience using Azure. AZ-104 Certification is a bonus.
• Experience with Ia C (Terraform, Bicep)
• Experience with CI/CD (Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub)
• Experience with scripting. (Power Shell, Bash, Python preferred)
• Good understanding of Automation practices
• Experience with technical, architectural design skills

In addition, the following would be an advantage:

• Experience with Databricks
• Experience with Azure Open AI
• Experience with Azure Fabric
• Experience with MLOPS
