He angitūtanga: About the Role
As our Statutory Process Support Officer, you'll gain a unique insight into the variety of work Do C does across the motu, and how our most challenging statutory issues are approached and resolved. Our team manage the entry of work into DOC's permitting system, which includes triage, risk assessment, and assigning permits or concession applications for a variety of activities that we regulate or authorise throughout Aotearoa.
For a bit of context, we deal with applications and issues including land tenure, Treaty obligations, flora and fauna, scientific research, protected species, commercial activity, Hollywood blockbuster filming applications, adventure sport and activities, and aircraft landings.......just to name a few!
In this role you will be responsible for careful entry of text, cross checking information with other systems and databases, as well as some basic invoicing and reporting. You'll be using mapping systems and applying rules and triggers to figure out next steps in our application processes.
