About the role:

• This role supports the Midland Region and is based in Hamilton.
  
• The purpose of the position is to work alongside children with disabilities and their families, create a fun, positive homely environment to nurture children’s needs on short breaks away from home.
  
• The support provided will foster positive relationships between families, and those using the service, other CCS Disability Action staff and ensure a friendly and flexible service which meets the needs of those who use the service.
  
• We value employee wellbeing – access to free independent counselling services.
  

About you:

• You will enjoy working with children or in a in a team setting
  
• You will hold or being willing to attain a New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing - Level 2 (or above) and a relevant First Aid certification.
  
• Experience in a service delivery organisation and understanding of the disability sector, would be an advantage.
  
• An all-round night owl, able and willing to turn your hand to any task, not fazed by personal cares, and calm under pressure.
