Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: On-site (Overseeing businesses in Lagos, Nigeria)
Reports To: Owner/CEO
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth through identifying and securing new markets, partnerships, and clients.
The Business Development Manager will focus on revenue growth, sales improvement, and business expansion for the three start-up businesses:
The ideal candidate must be skilled:
1. Imcrease Revenue: By finding new clients and partnerships, they will generate more sales and profit.
2. Sales Strategies: They can develop targeted sales strategies that improve performance for both your garment factory and consulting business.
3. Client Base Growth: Expanding your market reach and targeting new demographics can ensure long-term business sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Zain Stores Boutique:
Target Market Growth: Identify new markets and client segments, such as luxury or modest fashion customers, to expand the boutique's presence.
Sales Strategies: Develop and execute strategies to drive sales in-store and online. This could include partnerships with influencers or collaborations with fashion platforms.
Customer Engagement: Implement initiatives to retain current customers and increase customer loyalty through loyalty programs or exclusive offers.
2) Garment Factory (Wholesale & Branding Services):
Client Acquisition: Focus on securing wholesale clients and businesses that need customized uniforms, polos, T-shirts, joggers, or hoodies.
Branding Services Expansion: Explore new industries or sectors (e.g., schools, corporations, events) that may need your garment factory's branding and manufacturing services.
Partnerships: Form partnerships with retailers, resellers, and brands to increase bulk orders and branding services.
3) Eartco Logistics:
New Markets & Clients: Identify businesses, e-commerce platforms, and individuals who need reliable logistics services within Lagos and for interstate deliveries.
Expand Logistics Network: Help expand the logistics business by securing partnerships with small to medium-sized businesses for delivery contracts and exploring opportunities for growth when you acquire more bikes and vans.
Improve Sales for Logistics: Drive more revenue by developing packages and marketing plans for the logistics business, offering special rates for bulk clients, or exclusive service bundles.
4) Market Research & Analysis:
Conduct market research to understand trends in each industry (fashion, garment manufacturing, and logistics) and adapt strategies accordingly.
Identify and target untapped markets for each business and create tailored sales approaches.
5) Partnerships & Collaboration:
Form strategic partnerships with other brands, logistics companies, and e-commerce businesses to drive more business.
For the boutique, collaborate with fashion bloggers, modest fashion influencers, and retail networks.
For the garment factory, explore collaborations with event organizers, schools, and corporate clients for bulk orders.
6) Sales & Marketing Strategy:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with the goals of each business, including traditional marketing for the boutique and digital strategies for logistics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within retail, manufacturing, or logistics industries.
Proven track record of driving revenue growth, increasing client base, and forming strategic partnerships.
Experience in B2B (Business-to-Business) and B2C (Business-to-Consumer) sales strategies.
Familiarity with the fashion and apparel industry (preferably with knowledge of modest fashion for the boutique and wholesale garment production).
Experience in logistics operations and market expansion is highly desirable.

Sales and Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to identify new business opportunities, pitch products and services, and negotiate contracts.
Market Research: Ability to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities.
Networking & Relationship Building: Excellent skills in building long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Strategic Thinking: Capable of creating and executing long-term business strategies that align with your goals across boutique, garment manufacturing, and logistics operations.
Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects, clients, and business initiatives simultaneously.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for client presentations, proposals, and reports.
Digital Marketing Experience: Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools, particularly for retail and logistics, would be beneficial.
Leadership Skills: Ability to lead sales teams, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior staff.
Other Preferred Qualifications:
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the fashion retail market in Lagos, garment production (specifically wholesale), and logistics/delivery services in the local and interstate context.
Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM systems, sales management tools, and other business development platforms.
Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve complex business challenges efficiently.
