Aker Solutions has high ambitions for digital security, and we are looking for a new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to take us to the next level.
The CISO will be responsible for both IT (cyber/information) and OT (operational technology) security, and for developing security strategies and plans aligned with Aker Solutions’ digital ambitions. As CISO you will lead and develop a competent team and collaborate with multiple stakeholders internally and externally. The CISO will initiate and lead proactive security efforts to elevate our maturity in line with industry standards, and drive security compliance and continuous improvements in day-to-day operations.
The CISO will report to the CIO and be part of the IT management team.

- Lead the planning, budgeting and execution of security initiatives, prioritizing based on risk and business impact.
- Build and lead an in-house team of security experts while managing external vendors to elevate security maturity
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders across all levels, providing critical security insights and recommendations.
- Communicate security risks and strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, to foster a strong cybersecurity culture across the organization.
- Represent Aker Solutions in forums and conferences, sharing insights and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations while continuously improving security management practices.
We think you should have:
- Strong advisory and discussion skills, with the ability to engage with leaders at all organizational levels.
- Ability to frame security risks within a business context and align strategies with overall business objectives.
- Excellent communication skills for simplifying complex security topics and conveying them to diverse audiences.
- Experience prioritizing actions in a complex environment with competing security challenges.
- Proven experience in managing security across both IT and OT environments, under a set of regulatory frameworks (i.e. GDPR, NIS2, ISO27001 and IEC62443).
More reasons to work with us:
- Professional development and excellent career opportunities with the chance to work on a wide variety of projects ranging from oil and gas, renewables (carbon capture, hydrogen, and offshore wind) to aqua culture.
- A healthy work-life balance with flexible working conditions throughout the different phases of your life journey
- Competitive pay and benefits with excellent pension and insurance schemes as well as private health services provided by Aker Care
- Access to welfare club with free gym facilities, sports equipment hires and cabins for rent in the mountains and by the sea
