The programme

The Renewables (REN) area in Equinor is developing and delivering wind and solar power, storage solutions and green hydrogen. We have great ambitions and aim to grow almost 20 times the size within renewables as we are today by 2030. REN aims to do this by combining Equinor’s broad energy competence, project delivery capabilities and ability to integrate technological solutions. To do this we also need young talents with an eye for the future.
Within Renewables, we are hiring for technical support in project development where you’ll contribute to developing safe, sustainable, predictable, and competitive offshore wind projects. You will be exposed to the different phases of project development, from early-phase development to projects in execution.
We’re looking for adaptable and innovative people with strong engineering foundations, problem-solving skills, a commercial mindset and excellent communication abilities.
We are hiring within the following areas in Norway – you will be asked to indicate your preferred one(s) in the application:

The position

Within Renewables, we are hiring for technical support in project development where you’ll contribute to developing safe, sustainable, predictable, and competitive offshore wind projects. You will be exposed to the different phases of project development, from early-phase development to projects in execution.

We are hiring within the following areas in Norway – you will be asked to indicate your preferred one(s) in the application:
- Electrical Power Engineers: Working with electrical HV infrastructure in offshore wind and other renewable projects, including electrical system design and studies, HV power cable systems, development of digital calculation tools, substation design, HV equipment follow up, construction and testing. For offshore wind projects the scope includes electrical system design from Wind Turbine Generator to grid compliance and wind park export systems HVAC and HVDC.
- Marine Structure Engineer: Working with design- and fabrication of bottom-fixed foundations for offshore wind turbines. As a Foundations Engineer, you work in a team with responsibility to develop the foundation solutions for projects from early concept development to engineering and fabrication.
- Marine Installation Engineer: As part of the marine operations team in offshore wind projects. Team’s main responsibility is the planning and execution follow-up of installation activities for wind turbine foundations, substations, and the turbines themselves, including the opportunity to go offshore during the installation campaigns.
- Marine Engineers for O&M: Evaluation of vessel designs and development of marine logistics concepts for Operation & Maintenance of offshore wind farms
- Geotechnical engineer or geophysicist / geologist: Working with site characterization for offshore wind project design engineering.

Project Engineers for a variety of roles:
- Overseeing the Construction and Commissioning activities of offshore wind projects, both in preparation and execution phases, at onshore and offshore sites.
- Working in our Discipline Integration Department working at overall wind farm system level to drive cross-discipline work, product development and standardization.
- Working in a multidiscipline position, involved across the project in technical- and engineering processes, giving close support to the Technical Manager
- Project management and control: Working with project control through project economics, project planning, data science and analytics.
You
For this position we are looking for those with:- Master’s degree or Ph D with good academic record within Electrical Power Engineering, Offshore-, Marine-, Structural-, Geotechnical- or other relevant engineering disciplines
- Completed degree within year of starting (2025)
- Fluent in English
- No more than than two years of experience
- Formal experience is not a requirement
- Extracurricular activities and/or voluntary work is an advantage
- An awareness of risk and a commitment to safety for yourself and those around you.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to facilitate collaboration, influence stakeholders, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture.
- Motivation to be a key contributor in the energy transition. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex problems with creativity and innovation, in order to deliver on strategy.
- Is curious and strives to learn, develop, and grow their skills and competencies as their environment changes. Take ownership of and seek out learning opportunities and constructive feedback.
