As Purchasing Manager in OSM Thome, you will lead, manage, and ensure sustainable performance of the Purchasing Team, and become a valued partner to internal and external stakeholders. Our Purchasing Manager reports to the Managing Director of Axia Maritime - our internal marine procurement organization.

As Purchasing Manager in OSM Thome, you will lead, manage, and ensure sustainable performance of the Purchasing Team, and become a valued partner to internal and external stakeholders. Our Purchasing Manager reports to the Managing Director of Axia Maritime - our internal marine procurement organization.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Be well advised of market trends and availability of commodities and spare parts in order to provide the fleets with the required supplies at the times and places necessary, in the most favorable way for the Company
- Lead, manage and assign purchasing teams, both domestically and internationally, to work with the fleet management teams
- Prepare and issue Company purchasing policies and procedures subject to approval by the Managing Director
- Verify that the approved policies and procedures and adhered to by the Fleet Management and Ship Management Teams
- Develop and structure valuable metrics and statistics that will depict the health of the purchasing operations and their influence towards the business
- Degree in engineering/supply chain/purchasing or equivalent
- Excellent English skills, verbal and written
- Strong computer skills
