Assistant Manager – Supply Chain

S. Zia-Ul-Haq & Sons is looking for an Assistant Manager – Supply Chain!
The Assistant Manager Supply Chain will be responsible for overseeing procurement, logistics, inventory control, and supplier relationship management for the hospitality or catering services. This role focuses on ensuring that materials, ingredients, and equipment are sourced efficiently and delivered on time to meet operational requirements. The individual will work closely with vendors, the culinary team, and operations to optimize the supply chain processes and maintain cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure food ingredients, Groceries & kitchen equipment, and other necessary supplies for catering services.
- Negotiate contracts and prices with vendors to ensure cost savings.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Conduct vendor evaluations and performance reviews, ensuring adherence to quality and service standards.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely delivery of goods to various sites or locations.
- Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and supplies, ensuring there are no stockouts or excess inventory.
- Implement inventory control practices and use ERP systems to track stock levels.
- Work with the Costing & finance team to monitor supply chain costs and contribute to budgeting and cost control initiatives.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on supply chain performance, including cost analysis, vendor performance, and inventory management, to the Head of Department (HOD).
- Ensure timely submission of reports, with clear communication of key metrics and operational updates.
- Supervise and provide guidance to the supply chain team.
- Conduct performance evaluations, mentor staff, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7-8 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the hospitality or catering sector.
- Strong understanding of procurement, inventory management, and logistics in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to analyze and optimize supply chain processes.
- Strong vendor and contract management experience.
