The purpose of hiring a customs clearance agent is to ensure timely and efficient clearance of goods through customs department at Islamabad International Airport and Custom Dry Port Rawalpindi/Islamabad by complying with all the relevant laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
Should be active customs clearing agent working directly with any of the licensed customs clearance agencies in Pakistan
Should come with the hands on experience of using PSW/WEBOC system for preparing and submitting goods declaration for different customers from different industries
Should be having good knowledge of active SROs used in the clearance process for different categories of importers and exporters
Should be familiar with the process of appraisement with the use of historical clearance data as well as customs valuation rulings
Should be having stronger grip over the PCT and HS Codes used globally for the import and export of different goods from Pakistan
Should be completely familiar with the normal clearing process followed at airport as well as the dry port in Islamabad/Rawalpindi
Should be having stronger knowledge of applicable customs duties on the common goods imported into Pakistan
Should be adept at handling the customs procedures at airport as well as dry port and should know where to give the push whence the process is stuck
Should be familiar with the process of preparing and processing goods delivery orders and clearance of payments due at the airports as well as dry port
Should be having an acknowledged profile of working with Air Sheds, CAA and Dry Port authorities
Should be in good working relationship with different transportation companies working in Rawalpindi / Islamabad and operating nationally
Should be ideally the member of professional groups and freight associations linked with customs authorities and different trader groups
Responsibilities
Documentation: Prepare and submitting goods declaration by preparing all the necessary documentation for customs clearance, including invoices, packing lists, required certificates and applicable SROs
Customs Compliance: Handle the clearance process by ensuring compliance with the local customs laws, regulations, and mandatory procedures
Communication: Maintain communication with customs officials and other stakeholders to expedite the clearance process and complete the process within minimum possible time periods
Problem Resolution: Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the customs process by actively pursuing the case with customs authorities
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on the status of shipments to the office through the advise procedure and adopted system.
Academic Qualifications
Must be a qualified customs clearing agent in Pakistan with valid certifications and registration where applicable.
Demonstrated experience in customs clearance and knowledge of relevant regulations.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in documentation and logistics management.
Minimum Intermediate FA/FSc (ideally should be Bachelors Degree holder in relevant discipline)
Job Location: 2nd Floor, One Expressway, Gulberg Greens Interchange, Islamabad Highway
Duty Placement: Islamabad Airport / Dry Port Islamabad (whenever required)

Job Timing: 12:30 to 09:30 in summers and 1:30PM to 10:30PM in winters
Pay Range: PKR 60,000 – Rs100,000 per month (depending upon the experience)
