System Operation Engineer

REQUISITES:
Education: BS/BE in Computer Science/ Information Technology from HEC approved institute.
Experience: At least 1 to 2 years’ of relevant experience.
Specifications:
- Knowledge regarding Installation, Configuration, Customization, Performance Tuning, Backup & Recovery of IBM AIX & Linux Operating Systems along with IBM Power VM, and other Virtual Environments such as Citrix or VMware.
- Working knowledge of Docker & Container environment, setup creation and backup & recovery plans arrangements along with necessary documentations.
- Administer system performance and reports generation.
- Analyze system logs and identifying potential issues.
- Good troubleshooting skills - must take a proactive approach in resolving issues.
- Should be familiar with shell scripting and be well versed in systems documentation, including procedures and Policies.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and end-of-day activities.
- Flexible to manage working in shifts for smooth business operations and extend support as per need.
- Ability to work within a team (a proactive team player who can perform under pressure situations and meet deadlines).
- Good communication skill, decision making and problem-solving skills with can-do attitude.
