Kitchen Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional service in a casual dining environment. This role is crucial in maintaining the kitchen's efficiency, staff training, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling team members.
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met consistently.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items that meet customer expectations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
  • Assist in planning and executing banquet events, ensuring high-quality service.
  • Maintain a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration among staff.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for kitchen staff to encourage professional development.
Skills
  • Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food management practices and health regulations.
  • Excellent interviewing skills to identify top talent for the kitchen team.
  • Experience as an assistant manager or in a supervisory capacity is preferred.
  • Familiarity with banquet service operations is a plus.
  • Ability to train staff effectively in culinary techniques and safety protocols.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A background in casual dining or hotel kitchens is advantageous.

Pay: $54,225.00 - $56,817.00 per year
