An AU Accountant is expected to:
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php50,000.00 - Php80,000.00 per month

An AU Accountant is expected to:
- Manage all payments and expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Pay employees by verifying expense reports and preparing paychecks.
- Pay vendors by scheduling payments, ensuring payment receipt for outstanding credit, and responding to all vendor inquiries.
- Assist in the preparation of relevant financial reports.
- Ensure the timely payment of invoices owed by the company to all suppliers.
- Manage inventory systems in conjunction with the customer service and warehouse team to ensure the business unit has efficient systems in place, including monthly and half-yearly stocktake analysis.
- Assist with internal and external audit activities by fulfilling requests for documentation and explanations in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
- Complete daily accounting activities, including but not limited to payroll functions, accounts payable/receivables, cheque/cash deposits, banking activities, and responding to customer/vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
- Contribute to a culture of zero harm in the workplace; ensure compliance with legislation and organizational policies and procedures; take reasonable care to prevent actions and omissions that may impact the health and safety of others.
- Advise the manager of any learning and development gaps that may prevent achieving performance or behavior standards; ensure a thorough understanding of policies, procedures, and manuals as updates occur.
- Act as an ambassador for the company by maintaining a professional image at all times, including personal presentation, communication, phone, email, work area, documentation, and punctuality.
- Develop and maintain functional relationships and facilitate effective communication with management, staff, clients, and other necessary parties to conduct the role successfully.
- Report breaches in service delivery to the manager promptly and address them proactively; take corrective action and escalate issues where necessary.
- Perform work in accordance with relevant legislation and quality standards; foster a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
- Adhere to the company's policies, procedures, and quality assurance; actively participate in team meetings to discuss and monitor workflows, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Tertiary qualifications with a major in accounting or finance.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a similar role for a medium-sized company.
- Experience working with Australian companies.
- Knowledge of Australian taxation.
- Knowledge of bank reconciliation.
- Experience with Quick Books, XERO, or similar accounting tools.
- Demonstrated data analytics and reporting experience.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn and use relevant business systems.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and resolve issues with employees, co-workers, clients, partners, suppliers, and management at all levels.

- Salary Range is up to Php 80,000 depending on relevant experience
